ETF Main Trends has been in existence for four years and has been followed by thousands of investors and traders. My research is available here and it includes analysis of market indexes including charts and commentary. Also included are my buy and sell signals for the major indexes, sectors, and individual stocks and etf's. We have an education section with articles on technical analysis. Our timing systems produce excellent results. As an example, my long term trading system has beaten the S and P 500 more than 3 fold since 2000. This system was able to avoid the last 2 bear markets while being invested during the major bull markets. We offer intermediate and long term signals. We also have shorter term charts so that one can anticipate when the market is likely to change trend.  Our approach is to understand the psychology of the market, ie, market sentiment, and  the actions of investors. Much of our effort involves money flows.  Money Flow measures the amount of Money Flow Volume over a specific period into a particular secutity. Here is a chart of my long term timing signals for the S and P 500 using the etf SPY. The vast majority of major declines are avoided and the vast majority of major advances are captured using this timing system. I use a proprietary moving average that works best to capture the upside and avoid the downside.  My goal is to help investors preserve capital by taking defensive positions and even short positions when appropriate in bear markets and taking long positions during bull markets. This type of positioning can make a very significant difference over time for investors.
